AUTHENTIC MUAY BORAN
EARLY ACCESS
This online course teaches you the authentic, traditional principles of Muay Boran and how to adapt them for modern combat and self-defense.
It does not cover the standard techniques that you can easily find online and that anyone can teach; rather, it presents an ancient repertoire that had been lost for almost a century.
THE MAIN TRUSTED SOURCES
90% of the Muay Boran currently being taught is "modern-traditional", meaning it is influenced by the evolution of sport Muay Thai, and often blended with Japanese or Chinese Martial arts. The traditional repertoire is therefore altered and not well preserved, in some instances, even by authoritative sources.
Here I teach Muay Boran as it existed between 1800 and 1950, drawing upon reliable, immutable sources such as books and video footage.
I also incorporate my knowledge, though partial, of specific lineages that have been preserved. While I do not claim to be a master of those, I possess enough insight to enrich the core ancient repertoire.

THE ANCIENT REPERTOIRE

In 2024, I translated the first-ever book on Muay, I discovered that it explains the techniques of the oldest manuscript, from the 1830s. Previously, no one knew their true meaning; there were only personal interpretations.
It also references an ancient repertoire dating back to the early 1800s. It is not explained explicitly; it can be partially reconstructed by analyzing the earlier sections, while the rest can be understood through a knowledge of authentic traditional Muay lines.
I have therefore become the modern pioneer of this lost line of Muay Boran, having studied the ancient repertoire in great depth.
adapting it to modern time
Anyone who has learned the preserved lineages admits that they cannot keep pace with the modern evolution of combat.
However, there are forgotten principles that, when applied correctly to modern fighting, prove highly effective.
The old Thai Masters encouraged the creation and adaptation of techniques based on the traditional principles and the practitioner’s own intellect.
I will explain what should be discarded, what remains valid, and how to adapt the ancient repertoire for modern combat.
